Each summer, during the month of August, one of CISV Canada’s chapters host the Junior Branch National Camp. National Camp is a six-day program that is open to youth from 10 – 18 years of age. Participants are encouraged to take an active leadership role within the camp. Following some experiential training in planning, facilitation and evaluation, all participants have the opportunity to plan and execute educational activities with small planning groups. National Camp is a dynamic, fun, learning experience for younger and older youth.

CISV Canada’s National Camp is an annual summer program for youth aged 10-18. This year’s camp is being held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Camp runs from August 12 – 19 and fees include all activities and meals. Participants are responsible for travel from their hometown to Saskatoon. A valid 2017 CISV membership is required for participation in this program.

Activities at camp will be planned around CISV’s four content areas: human rights, sustainable development, conflict and resolution, and diversity. The theme title is Cinnamon Rolls not Gender Roles.

Camp participants plan and run the activities throughout the week. Participants are challenged to create new and exciting activities, from running games to simulations and everything in between. At camp, you will experience a ton of emotions, make a whole bunch of new friends, and rethink what you know. Come with an open mind and be prepared to discuss new topics.
