CISV Vancouver is the local chapter of an international peace education organization that was founded after World War II. CISV educates and inspires action for a more just and peaceful world. CISV Vancouver provides local camps and activities for children and their families that include educational content and provide leadership development opportunities. The educational activities are centered around topics of diversity, human rights, conflict and resolution and sustainable development.

Every two years we hold a summer camp for youth delegates from 10 to 12 counties. By hosting these camps we in turn are able to provide 20-30 opportunities each year for local youth to attend a similar experiential learning program.

CISV camps involve non-denominational workshops and activities relating to the promotion of world peace and cross-cultural friendships. They help youth to develop the awareness, attitudes, skills and knowledge to become active global citizens and make positive contributions in their communities.

Our fundraising goals aim to reduce the cost for participation to make the programs more financially accessible and to provide more opportunities for local youth to participate and benefit from CISV programs.
