Applications are OPEN NOW for SEMINAR CAMP , an international camp-based program for 16- and 17-year-olds, lasting 21 days. This incredible experience is personally challenging, with the intensive program coordinated by the participants themselves. They develop their own agenda and explore global issues based on their backgrounds and interests, through activities and in-depth discussions. Being part of Seminar Camp’s group-living environment encourages you to take a creative and cooperative approach to problem-solving and resolving differences that can arise from healthy discussion.
This year’s offerings are in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, and Thailand. All details are on the application, which is due by JANUARY 10, 2025.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING:

Must be 16 or 17 for the full length of the program including day of departure for travel from home country

Attend 2 local chapter events (in the 12 months prior to the program)

Complete CISV Basic Child Safeguarding course (online)

National training session (online live session, likely a weekend half day in April in Vancouver)
A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:
- Applicants who apply must also send an e-mail to programming.cisvvancouver@gmail.com letting us know the application is submitted.
- The applicant should fill out this form (not parent) but should consider which dates they are available
- Applicants must send a proof of ID for age verification
- After the January 10 deadline has passed, applicants will be placed on the waitlist and placed if programs are available.
- After applications are received, National will reach out to the chapter of applicants and ask that the chapters confirm the following:
- The applicants are current members of the chapters
- You endorse their Seminar Camp Application including the requirement that they attend 2 local events
- They have not been selected as a JC for 2025
